Building on the successes of 2014, Thomas Swan continues to focus on its vision of being the most trusted supplier of consistently high quality graphene on the market. With 1kg per day capacity now available the company is keen to ensure prototype materials are accessible to all and will announce a new pricing structure at Graphene Live, Berlin on 28th - 29th April.

Harry Swan appointed to the Governing Board of Innovate UK

Harry Swan, Managing Director of Thomas Swan & Co. Ltd. based in Consett, County Durham has been appointed to the Governing Board of the UK’s innovation agency, Innovate UK.

Innovate UK, formerly known as the Technology Strategy Board, is the UK’s innovation agency. Its goal is to accelerate economic growth by stimulating and supporting business-led innovation.

The University of Manchester Graphene Engineering & Innovation Centre (GEIC) advisory panel visits Thomas Swan, a leading UK Graphene Manufacturer.

UK graphene manufacturer opens doors to GEIC design team to help inform the design of the new £60M facility.

In early January senior members from The University of Manchester’s GEIC advisory panel visited Thomas Swan in Consett, County Durham, to gain a better understanding of the process engineering, utilities, logistics, technology and safety requirements for a modern materials manufacturing facility.

Harry Swan, Managing director of Thomas Swan & Co. Ltd, a 4th generation chemical manufacturing firm based in Consett, North East England, has been named by The Manufacturer Top 100 report as one of the UK’s most inspirational individuals within UK manufacturing.

Thomas Swan announces successful scale up of graphene plant

'UK manufacturer announces start-up of new graphene pilot line.'

Today, Thomas Swan announced the start-up of its new integrated pilot line for the manufacture of Elicarb® Graphene products. The plant is capable of producing 1kg/day of high quality, few-layer graphene nanoplatelets (GNPs) by liquid exfoliation of graphite raw materials.
