Thomas Swan Extends 2D Materials Product Line

Commercial partnership agreed with AMBER, Trinity College Dublin

Following on from the successful launch of Elicarb® Graphene products in 2014; Thomas Swan has announced the extension of its product portfolio to include non-carbon 2D materials. The company will supply a range of non-carbon two-dimensional materials, such as boron nitride, molybdenum disulphide and molybdenum trioxide which will be available in gram quantities from summer 2015.

UK manufacturer exhibiting at Graphene Live, Berlin

Building on the successes of 2014, Thomas Swan continues to focus on its vision of being the most trusted supplier of consistently high quality graphene on the market. With 1kg per day capacity now available the company is keen to ensure prototype materials are accessible to all and will announce a new pricing structure at Graphene Live, Berlin on 28th - 29th April.

Harry Swan appointed to the Governing Board of Innovate UK

Harry Swan, Managing Director of Thomas Swan & Co. Ltd. based in Consett, County Durham has been appointed to the Governing Board of the UK’s innovation agency, Innovate UK.

Innovate UK, formerly known as the Technology Strategy Board, is the UK’s innovation agency. Its goal is to accelerate economic growth by stimulating and supporting business-led innovation.

The University of Manchester Graphene Engineering & Innovation Centre (GEIC) advisory panel visits Thomas Swan, a leading UK Graphene Manufacturer.

UK graphene manufacturer opens doors to GEIC design team to help inform the design of the new £60M facility.

In early January senior members from The University of Manchester’s GEIC advisory panel visited Thomas Swan in Consett, County Durham, to gain a better understanding of the process engineering, utilities, logistics, technology and safety requirements for a modern materials manufacturing facility.
